IV. Creator

In 2014…

I started making YouTube videos in 2014 to cope with being socially vibrant and hopelessly annoying. As a 9-year-old precocious kid online, I needed an outlet to express myself and quickly took up the medium that I fell in love with so early on in life. I wanted to be a star; I had dreams of seeing my name in lights, of being known by everyone in the world. Little did I know this is where my love of filmmaking would eventually emerge from. In 2016, I began posting comedy sketches where I would write, direct, and star in various shorts. Nowadays, I probably would have been an Instagram Reels creator, but luckily I was born in the right generation. After about 10 years of making videos, I finally started to find success making video essays and very quickly started to gain hundreds of thousands of views per video. My channel quickly ballooned to 60k+ subscribers, and ultimately I could have ridden that wave to mainstream internet success. However, right as my dreams started to finally come true, after over a decade of work… I chose to step away. My childhood dream simply wasn’t what I needed anymore. Now I make videos when I can. Film school keeps me unbelievably busy, but I will always have so much love in my heart for the medium that made me into who I am. Even if it ultimately became something I no longer found joy in.
