Hi, I’m Mia.

I am a filmmaker and performer from Virginia Beach currently living in New York City. I’m a senior at NYU Tisch School of the Arts, where I study making movies, which is a real thing that I pay money to do. I started off as a YouTuber in 2014 at the age of 9 years old, where I developed my love of creating and filmmaking. I went on to make a collection of political video essays before I pivoted to directing indie music videos and short films, which was perhaps the worst financial decision I ever made and also the best thing I ever did in my life. My sensibilities oscillate rapidly between comedy and devastation, so I’m gonna keep you on your toes. If you watch my films, you’ll think I’m severely depressed, and if you met me in person, I’ll probably just be doing a stupid bit. I do a lot of those.

I’m also a director of photography. Particularly for films that are weird and off-kilter in some way. I work very closely with my creative partner, Camille DZY. Together we make off-putting, upsetting, and beautiful films because that’s the kind of people we are. She is often my co-producer and assistant director. We tend to be a package deal. You can hire me for work if you like my style. I can be bought very easily.
